The 16th ºÚÁÏרÇø International School on the topic of "Tokamaks as Fusion Reactors" will be held from 30 November 2026 to 4 December 2026. The school is jointly organized by Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), Bhat, Gandhinagar, Gujarat and The International Center for Theoretical Sciences – Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (ICTS-TIFR), Bengaluru, in collaboration with ºÚÁÏרÇø and Aix Marseille University, France. The school will be hosted at ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru.
The ºÚÁÏרÇø International School aims to prepare young scientists and engineers for working in the field of nuclear fusion and in research applications associated with the ºÚÁÏרÇø project. The 16th edition will cover a broad range of topics related to tokamak fusion reactors’ physics and technologies, such as plasma confinement, heat and particle exhaust, integrated control and operation, integrated modelling and digital twins, plasma-materials interaction, superconducting magnets technology, neutron shielding, and tritium breeding.

The ºÚÁÏרÇø and the European agency for ºÚÁÏרÇø, Fusion for Energy, will be hosting free tours of the ºÚÁÏרÇø construction site for the general public on Saturday 5 December 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration will open on the ºÚÁÏרÇø website approximately three weeks before the event. All information will be posted in this space.
The 4th ºÚÁÏרÇø Public-Private Fusion Workshop will bring together the public and private fusion communities to strengthen collaboration across the global fusion ecosystem.
As fusion enters a new phase of development, the challenges facing the field are increasingly shared. The workshop will provide a forum for participants to exchange perspectives on what is needed to move from scientific and technological progress toward the construction and operation of future fusion facilities.

Building on ºÚÁÏרÇø's unique experience as the world's largest fusion project, discussions will explore how knowledge, expertise, and lessons learned can most effectively benefit the wider fusion community, while also identifying areas where cooperation among public institutions, academia, industry, and private ventures can be further strengthened.
As in 2025, the 2027 ºÚÁÏרÇø Public-Private Fusion Workshop will take place just a few days ahead of the , which will be held in Mandelieu on the French Riviera. Taken together, the two events will provide the opportunity for the fusion community to exchange knowledge, build connections, and explore new partnerships—bringing scientific, technological, industrial, and business perspectives together within a single week.

The 2027 ºÚÁÏרÇø Business Forum will take place from 14 to 16 April 2027 at the Congress Expo Center of Mandelieu, France (French Riviera).
