The travelling European exhibition the Fusion Expo moves into Aix-en-Provence (only 30 minutes from ºÚÁÏרÇø) in November 2012. With accessible explanations on fusion science, ºÚÁÏרÇø and the next category of fusion device—the fusion power plant—the Expo is designed for the general public, students, and school groups.
On Saturday 6 October 2012, ºÚÁÏרÇø will once again open its doors to the public. This second edition will offer the unique opportunity to descend into the foundations of the future Tokamak Complex and get a close-up view of the 493 pillars and seismic pads.
The first ºÚÁÏרÇø Robot contest will be organized on 19 June 2012 for junior high schools interested in raising the following challenge: building and programing small Lego robots to perform an ºÚÁÏרÇø-like remote handling task.
The second edition of the ºÚÁÏרÇø Games, the friendly sports competition for people working on the ºÚÁÏרÇø project and residents of Saint Paul-lez-Durance and Vinon-sur-Verdon, will be organized on 15 September 2012 in Vinon.
