On-Site Fabrication
The components of the ºÚÁÏרÇø machine and plant—the large and the small—have been manufactured in the factories of the ºÚÁÏרÇø Members and shipped to the ºÚÁÏרÇø site ... except in two cases, where the components were simply too large to be transported. The largest poloidal field coils, measuring 17 to 24 metres in diameter, and the ºÚÁÏרÇø cryostat sub-sections, measuring 30 metres in diameter, were produced in dedicated facilities on the ºÚÁÏרÇø platform.
